GOALS FOR MY BLOG

Writing has become a special part of my day. I know I have a lot of room to grow with my writing, delivery, presentation, flow, organization…you get the idea. What I look forward to, is looking back and seeing how my writing has progressed. Like anything, the more you do it, the better you get.

I have never been one to journal. I keep my thoughts in my head. But, as I get older, there is just so much up there, I need a release. And, COVID-19 jump started this journey. I’ve actually had this blog site for over a year. I just didn’t know where to start. What do I want to write about? Trail running…YES! My journey with Christ….YES! My personal experiences and growth….YES! But, where I start was the biggest hurdle. Until one day I wrote a piece and posted.  I want this to be more than an online diary.  I want to engage with readers.

Rain in the Distance

I am lucky with the views I see. Whether landscape or sky, every time I go out I am blessed with beauty all around me.

I don’t know much about the blogging world, so I started searching around my WordPress features and noticed a course they offer on Branding an Growth.  I signed up, because reading the topics I knew I would learn how to engage with readers.

Which leads me to day one.

Set three goals for your blog.  I am choosing to share them with you because I want you to see what my goals are.

  • Establish a new weekly feature on my blog. I choose Tuesday for my weekly feature!

Off the Beaten Path! Off the Beaten Path will be a post about our mental and virtuous strength.  We endure more than we can ever imagine; and many times we hold it in because we have to remain strong on the outside.  Off the Beaten Path allows us time to reflect and process our experiences.

  • Spend one hour a week visiting my follower’s blogs, reading, and commenting.

Since my goal is having people engage in my blog, it is only natural I engage in my followers’ blogs! I am excited to support my followers and be inspired by them.

  • Publish three times each week during the next two months.

I have quiet time every morning to spend writing, while on Covid-19 quarantine. Having this goal came at the right time. It will keep me on track when I go back to work – which will be soon, I’m sure!

I look forward to the next few months, and beyond.  I hope to hear from you, especially if you want to be featured in Tribute Tuesday.

All my best!
